How does “the Clinic” in Cancun decide which patients it will treat with stem cells?
Literature available world wide implies that most if not all aliments and injuries benefit from stem cell therapies. While we are optimistic as well, nothing is as simple as it seems or considered as such. For example, no one diagnosis and therefore no one therapy fits all patients with diabetes, simply because all cases of diabetes are not the same. Our medical staff reviews each request for a treatment plan to determine if it fits within general pre-prescribed parameters. Such qualifying cases are then presented to Dra. Sylvia M Abblitt, whose medically licensed protocol authority permits stem cell treatments in Mexico. She and only she, determines appropriate stem cell treatment plans and to whom they will be made available. However, there is no way to avoid pre screening as the Doctora’s time is simply too valuable to allow direct appeal.
How does “the Clinic” in Cancun decide which diseases, aliments, and injuries it will treat with stem cells?
Dra. Sylvia M. Abblitt makes all treatment decisions at “the Clinic” in Cancun. Experience, trials, and hope lead us to believe “the sky is the limit” as far as disease and injury is concerned, but only time and science will settle this issue. What is the difference between autogolous and allogenic stem cells and are both available at “the Clinic”?
Autogolous cells are harvested in various ways from the patient’s body. Many exciting, effective, and economically priced therapies are accomplished with autogolous stem cells. Allogenic stem cells are from a source “other than your own.” It is the approval of COFEPRIS allowing Dra. Abblitt to manage, store, and treat patients with allogenic stem cells that set “the Clinic” apart.
Are “the Clinic’s” allogenic stem cells embryonic stem cells?
No, life viable stem cell sources are utilized. The main source of allogenic stem cells utilized at the clinic are from healthy newborn umbilical cord blood, harvested at birth.
Pricing, what can you tell me of treatment pricing?
Just as there is not one treatment plan there can be no single representative price, although, price is a part of each plan. Should you be shopping stem cell therapies worldwide, we suggest you patiently give us a chance to offer our services and then compare. “the Clinic’s” stem cell medicine is practiced by some of the finest doctors in the world, in hospital facilities the envy of all who visit. We see ourselves as having many economic advantages for our patients and their families, the least of which for those in the United States is the convenient access Cancun’s location provides. “the Clinic’s” medical partner is HEMATOLOGIA INTEGRAL Y ESTUDIOS ESPECIALIZADOS, S.C., owned and licensed to Dra. Sylvia M. Abblitt. Dra. Abblitt, is uniquely qualified through experience and license approvals of her stem cell blood bank and medical protocols. The Clinic prices her services fairly and competitively.
Will there be exceptions to your pricing offerings?
Yes, though with all good and generous things comes a reality. Initially “the Clinic” staff will donate its services free of charge for one deserving patient/patient family out of eleven treated. Yet, understand, those ten must come first in order for such charity to be afforded. Further, it is “the Clinic’s” hope that its financial standing will become such that all services necessary for treatment be provided that one in eleven at no charge.
Pricing practices, of course, include a statement of payment terms. All payment must be made in advance of treatment, in US Dollars. Cancun Stem Cell Clinic, Inc., a U.S. corporation, is the sole payment agent for these services.
As HEMATOLOGIA INTEGRAL Y ESTUDIOS ESPECIALIZADOS, S.C. (“HIEE”)holds the permissions to treat patients with stem cells in Mexico, who is “the Clinic” in cancun and who/what is Cancun Stem Cell Clinic, Inc.(“CSCC”)?
First, “the Clinic” in Cancun is a marketing term or name symbolizing/describing the business association between and among, Dra. Abblitt, HIEE, & CSCC. Each provides a share of the services we believe necessary to make these services known to you and make them legally available. CSCC, neither owns a part of or controls directly or indirectly HIEE or its principal. However, Dra. Abblitt, is a shareholder of CSCC, whose business plan extends well beyond Mexico and Dra. Abblitt wishes to personally benefit from CSCC enterprise and efforts.
Is medicine regulated in Mexico similar to the States?
In the eyes of some it is the Mexican equivalent of the U.S. FDA and NIH rolled into one. In Mexico, the regulatory authority is the Comisión Federal para la Protección contra Riesgos Sanitarios (COFEPRIS). Created in 2001 COFEPRIS institutionalized efforts to integrate, simplify and homogenize, within a single government organization, regulation on sanitary and related risks; items under scrutiny include pharmaceutical products but also basic sanitation, environmental risks, publicity on health, food and related products and so on (Enríquez, 2006). Regarding clinical trials, COFEPRIS has strengthened and increased transparency of the regulation.

One of the reasons we are delighted to be in Cancun, aside from our beautiful beaches and clean city,
is that Cancun can be easily accessed from every major airport in the US and Canada. And the travel
agencies always seem to have "Special Packages" available to Cancun including air and hotel. We will
provide all your transportation to and from the clinic while you are staying here. And if you are
searching for a quiet and charming small hotel in town; we are happy to recommend places and supply
contact information.
I am not too happy about being isolated in a strange hotel…. How do I get in touch with you if
I need some assistance?
You are given a cell phone pre-programmed with numbers to the clinic and to the nurse when you have
your first visit with us. Sometimes, if you are very ill, we visit you at the hotel the evening of
the day you arrive. After that we are only a call away. You will also be spending time with us
every day.
What will be my daily routine?
A typical day for patients will be something like this. Each morning you will be picked up by private
transportation and brought to the clinic. In tranquil and comfortable surroundings you will have all
your pre-treatment therapies. The first morning after your appointment with the doctor, you will
start in the clinic taking our pre-treatment therapies. There will always be a Registered Nurse
available for questions. The total time for all the pre-treatments will be approximately six hours
so a gourmet lunch will be served every day. In the afternoon, you will be returned to your hotel
for rest and free time.
Who helps me decide which therapy is best for me?
In the end only Dra. Abblitt will determine what therapy is to be offered to you, even though many of our patients are referred here by their personal physician. Other patients find us on the
Internet in their personal quest for answers. We are also building a client base from former satisfied
patients. All of our clients will first speak with a Registered Nurse over the telephone and if
they need it, they are given time to speak to the doctor. Everyone has an appointment with the
doctor after they arrive here. For many people the amount of money they have decides which therapy
they choose. For the very ill, the doctors here will conference call with your doctor in your
home city.
